In November I’m privileged to be presenting a program and teaching a class to the Pinebelt Quilters on Triaxial Weave to create the tumbling box pattern. There are so many members of Pinebelt Quilters who attend the monthly meetings that I had to figure out an effective way to reach a lot of people at one time. To that end, Wayne, my videographer and husband, helped me to make an instructional video. I start with creating the grid on which the weaving is accomplished, and then go into a detailed explanation and presentation of each individual layer of weaving using grossgrain ribbon for ease in learning the technique. In addition, I discuss and help you finish your weaving to be used in any number of projects. By the way, other patterns can be achieved simply by changing the placement of ribbon colors.
